Mount Pleasant Police Department (MPPD) PFC Adam Blankenship (pictured second from right) was recently reunited with Lisa Hughes (second from left) and David Goltra (far right), the last two citizens who rendered aid to him when he was struck by a vehicle on Dec. 8. Police Chief Mark Arnold stated that law enforcement officers go to work each day knowing of the potential dangers and that, in an instant, the honored citizens turned into "our heroes." Both civilians were awarded with handsome wood-based plaques.
