For the first time, Mount Pleasant neighbors, Wando High School and Lucy Beckham High School, faced off in the "Battle of Mount Pleasant" football game on Aug. 26.

For the first time, Wando Principal Kim Wilson kissed a goat on the 50-yard line at the end of the game.

Lucy Beckham took home the victory with a 8-6 win against Wando. What was lacking in points scored was made up for with the large, electric crowd cheering on the two teams.
